I thought back then he just went to Eddie Vedder's house and stole his clothes and facial expressions? ;)

In all the live videos, it doesn't even look like Scott is trying to be grunge, I seem to remember more baggy t-shirts than flannel.

Scott's style didn't really start kicking ass til he turned gay. As Jessie said in another thread, "blossomed into awesomeness"

Scott's style ALWAYS kicks ass.
Case in point: in the Thank You DVD, for the video  of where the river goes, he's rocking flannel, and doing his dance. Go watch.

Thanks for your reply's , greatly appreciated .

I thought he might have wore paticular brands , labels but i see where you guys are coming from with the thrift store thing .

His early style just kicks ass compared to now (especially the Purple years 94/95) and who could forget those lime green trousers in the Big Bang Baby video  ;D Only Scott could have pulled that off and still looked awesome at the same time .

I wouldn't mind if Weiland went back to wearing what he did from 1999-2002 with the scarf, black dress pants, Jim-Morrison-like shirt. That stuff is at least better than the skin-tight shirts/pants that he's been wearing lately on the STP/solo tours to keep up to date with the latest "scene" trends. His retro suits have been cool though with the fedora.

Hands down his worst "style period" was during VR. There's a reason the 80s went out of style...

Oh! I can't agree, I can't I just can't  :D

See him live on stage with that style was  :o
I think he picked the right style for a dirty band, it fitted perfectly

Oh, I agree - no question the style fit the band. Can't stand seeing him all dirty looking, though. Love him in a good well-fitting suit and with a smile on his face - he cleans up so nicely!  :)

I enjoy being able to look back through the years & see what he wanted to wear when & with what band. It makes him so interesting to me. Some people would never dare to make such choices, much les spull them off....

He is almost a dying breed in the way he includes his chosen attire, in all its forms into his shows.

Y'all are trippin'. His style during VR was awesome. The captain hat, tight jeans with not one but two studded belts!!! and shirtless torso= f-yes.

Way back in the VR days, a group and i would unintentionally 'pull a Weiland' with our pants, as we could fit in them, but couldn't manage to close the zipper.. I miss those days =(

I regard Scott as a personal style icon [though i'm not a guy per se], and remember flipping out at the Indianapolis STP show when i saw he was wearing lilac colored socks.

I'm not bitching about what Scott's attire revealed during the VR days; it just didn't seem to be him.  Kinda like a fish out of water.

I was crushed when he retired the feather boas & fedoras. :(
Know what I\'m thinking?  No?  Neither do I!  ;Þ

I dont really think that him all dresses in boas or in suits really would have FIT in the band you know.

Just my opinion. His look was fitting for the VR days. And I don't think he would really wear the leather pants again... I mean I dont see him doing that on his solo tour you know. Hahahaha!!

he just seems in a different frame of fashion mind at this time & place.
