I thought I was crazy when I thought the song was about Courtney. Guess not because other people seem to think so too.

How did they confront him about that song and what did he say specificly? Ive never seen so many people spam up a thread so much on the net ever. Why would you even reply just to say "that sucks"! Come on! Lets be a little mature! <_<

He never said that they were friends (I mean Courtney).
Scott would always say "no comment" when asked abut the song.

And yes, they were friends at one point in the past.
One time when Scott was arrested, Courtney read an apology note from him to the fans on the radio.
And Larry Flynt has some pictures of them together which he refused to publish.
What the hell where they doing in the pictures?

I'm glad this thread was dredged up from months ago.  I read my old post.  You know what?  I'm right.  This would have been a killer first single.  The song is just happy/corny enough that with the right video it would have been gold.  At the time Scott and Courtney probably would have gotten their own celebrity deathmatch.  Imagine Scott being asked what the song was about on TRL and me just smirking and looking up in the air saying, "It's just a rock and roll fable, man."

Instead they released Days of the Week.  I like it.  But not many other people do.  Long Way Home would have been a better first single.

I would kill to see a Scott/Courtney celebrity deathmatch!

STP should have released any other track but DotW. It kind of grows on me at times, but they should have left that one for Sheryl. Long Way Home is a killer!

Yea, I agree. TCQ definitely should have been first. But, it shouldn't have even mattered that much, because if I remember correctly Scott definitely said something along the lines of them releasing half the album as singles cause they really loved it, and really wanted to play around with it. Well, that surely did not happen. How many singles did we ge? Two?

Did we even get two? Fuzzy SLDD memories, I'm afraid...

I agree with Scott- over half that album is single-worthy material. Too bad they started with the wrong one tho, IMO.

TCQ wasn't a single, Pensie.   :P

"Days of the Week" and "Hollywood Bitch" were the only singles...

...unless you count "Revolution," which was released sometime shortly after SLDD, if I'm right.  I know I was still going to BGSU when it came out... so I can't be TOO crazy.   ;)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

What about Wonderful?
I know there was a bunch of talk about it being a single at one point, but was it?

Haha! Thanks for the correction, I must not have been paying attention when I wrote that . I meant, like STPGurl said, Days of the Week and Hollywood Bitch were the too singles. :P

Yeah, I know. I remembered DotW but nothing else after that, which is why I was asking if we even got TWO singles from that album... and I remembered that I have a promo poster for HB at home, with a pampered looking dog on the front.

Revolution was released after they played for the Tribute To John Lennon Anniversary Show. I think Scott had a white suit?

This is hard to explain, but Revolution did not get played on the Radio. But they did however released it in singles as well as Promos. There was no official Video as well.

Since they spoke alot in Thank You about the "new" version of Hello Its Late, they should have released it as a Second Single (since it had a Video). But it wasnt worth it since the first single itself went high but flopped I think after two weeks? Due to lack of Promotion from the Band, the label did some work (but not enough).

Wonderful was to be the next single, but it was scrapped. If you watch the SLDD promo video, the three songs featured are Days Of The Week, Hollywood Bitch, and Wonderful. I can only assume this was the original plan. So much for the Coma Movement.

Was there ever a video for Hollywood Bitch, or Days of the Week the only video we got from SLDD?

HELL YES. I wanted Coma to be the first single!
