So, I have a google alert set for different STP keywords, as well as "vinyl."

It looks like 12 Bar Blues is getting a 25th Anniversary edition for Record Store Day!

I'm excited, and going to pre-order.
Does anyone have any more info on this?
... are the tracks remastered? Is the acoustic Barbarella one we've heard before?

It also says this is the first vinyl pressing of 12 Bar Blues.
Can that possibly be right??

The tracks are remastered. Lazy Divey and Chateau Mars were on the 12BB promo release. That same release had a different mix of Barbarella, so it makes me wonder if that’s the Daniel Lanois mix that’s mentioned. If it is, I’m interested in the other Lanois mixes it mentions.

I don’t know for sure that 12BB was never on vinyl, but I believe it. Looks like that’s what drives releases like these these days.

There will be a digital deluxe edition released as well!

This is exciting news. Looking forward to spinning this album!

So I got the record and am currently giving it a listen, Scott must've rerecorded Lazy Divey with approved lyrics because they're different from the promo track that's been out there. My worry with ai these days too.

Looks like fans went hard for RSD!

My plan was to go on tomorrow or Tuesday and buy 2 copies.

Every single store near me is already sold out.
... just shows how badly people want more Weiland.

The new "Lazy Divey" threw me off when i played mine. It was a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to hear some history behind it. Anyone know anything about it?

There are quite a few on discogs currently but you will have to import if you want to pay a normal price. You could also try contacting U.K. or European recordstores directly. Not a lot of people here know Scott or care about his solo work. It's not sold out here.

I didn’t even think about the vocals needing to change to release Lazy Divey. My guess is he re-recorded them for later release and then abandoned that idea.

Does anyone know if the new Daniel lanois mixes are uploaded somewhere? So far I’ve heard desperation#5 and then there’s a barbarella demo on youtube. Both sound great I’m excited to hear the rest of the album. Thanks to whoever knows more info on these new mixes and if they are uploaded.

There was supposed to be 22 tracks on the deluxe digital version according to the press release above.  But only a 17 track version was released on iTunes, Amazon, HD tracks, etc.  They removed the outtakes and alt mixes, no idea why.

Went down a rabbit hole…

So apparently there was a band called Chickenhawk with a song called Star Spangled Bitch (the name of a 12BBB outtake that was supposed to appear on deluxe release). Looking at their old MySpace page, it has a song called Billy Bob featuring Scott.   Never heard about this before. The music links don’t work.

Big Daddy Carlos was apparently the guy behind Chickenhawk, and I found a site where it mentions he collaborated with Scott between 95-2000, so within the 12BBB era.  Or maybe Scott was just involved in the production of the track? So was Star Spangled Bitch a collab and it’s not being released because of a rights issue?
