I don't imagine a band from the UK with this.... sound... is really well versed in obscure Stone Temple Pilots side-projects, so I'll chalk this one up to coincidence.

I don't think it will be a big problem for them to keep the name. I don't think anyone involved with TS would really care if a new band is using the name.

This all kinda reminds me of how there was another band called STP before Stone Temple Pilots, and early bootlegs had some of the other STP's songs crammed in with 'our' STPs.
