With everyone in the room, STP tends to make albums pretty fast, though, it sounds like this album with be recorded between legs of tours.

I think this is a great idea! This band's lighter tunes have consistently been gems throughout the years. I don't see them disappointing here. An acoustic tour would be amazing! I can already envision City Winery tickets in the future.
Another cool thing about the guys doing an acoustic album/tour for a year or so is after that cycle ends I bet they'll be super hungry to make a rippin' rock record.

Adult-contemporary here we come. Haha.
I kid. I kid.

I'm looking forward to this. They are always very tasty with their lighter stuff.
And I'm just glad these are new songs, and not acoustic versions of older work.
Hopefully, we get the 25th anniversary of Purple too.

I ranted about this in another thread somewhere. I've always wanted a Core 2. It's part of the reason why I wish for a super clean, zero volume enhancement remaster of No. 4 someday.

It'll never happen, and even if they do it with Jeff it's never going to have that swagger and lyrical melody testosterone that Scott would've produced.

Well on that note, Alice In Chains had Sap and that turned out pretty awesome...... Just something to talk about...
