Live album 2018 out on Black Friday

...and it's too slow! How can this happen? Hello Rhino!!! Where's the quality control? Yes the 3-d glasses are there, the ugly 3-d cover - well it's a fun idea...


Issue lies in the mastering? Mixing? Printing? Who knows it's like listening to a band performing while under the influence of 1970's Valium downers - just miserable... Sad!

I hadn't heard anything about this release, and I can barely find anything on the web.

When you say too slow, you don't mean the actual band but the recording itself sounds slowed down? Like it's playing at the wrong sample rate?

The recording itself is too slow.  I haven’t heard it myself, but for example I’ve read that vasoline is listed as approx 2:50 on the back cover but it’s actually 3:15

Bought the album as part of Black Friday releases - it's in independent record stores - check STP's Facebook site - they have something up about it.I just delivered it back to the store and got my money back. It was impossible to listen to...

Most of the people who bought it complained on the STP Facebookpage. And they are right - they do sound like Valium was injected while mixing the thing...

So, has anyone got their replacement copy yet? And if so, have the problems been fixed?

I've bought it anyway as I can't let a piece of STP vinyl go by without having it, and my turntable will increase or decrease by 10% so I can make it sound right anyway.

I do not fancy my chances of geting a replacement sent to the UK though.

The band can't blamed for a fucking record pressing error, that's actually ridiculous.

I'm sure they did quality control on the recording and production, but once it leaves the plant to go to retailers it is out of their hands, they had no reason at all to think there would be a damaged lathe.

Unlike many of the missteps in their career, things are going to be made right, so really you can't complain about this one.
