Listening to the full album. 4 or 5 stand out tracks so far. The rest need more 'absorbing'..

Was going to say... The full album is ‘out there’ now. Surprised more people aren’t talking about it on here in the other thread?

Stone Temple Pilots 2018.

It's quite solid, IMO.

I'm digging it!

Thought She'd Be Mine and Finest Hour are incredible. Definitely the standouts for me.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I was expecting.
Damn....im very dissappointed. Ha smh. I was expecting some straight up heavy rock riffs. It sounds like a bunch of talk show b sides. Maybe the full songs might change my mind but the clips didnt make me excited. Blah
Yeah... I know what you mean and it's pissed I have to agree with it... Sigh...
I really do hope full listening will change my mind but maybe it's time to say goodbye to STP.

I am really enjoying this album straight through...except Never Enough. I'm not getting into that really at all.

Thought She'd Be Mine is my favourite...so far. What a great tune!

I keep going back to that, it's a special song.

Second time through right now and its sounding better. Will give it the car test tomorrow. Need to listen to the entire record straight through in my car. Some tracks are killer others have a different sound STP has never ventured into. Really interested in what the next album will sound like

Hmmm first full listen and I can’t say this new album has really grabbed me any more than S/T (2010) did the first time I heard that. I’m guessing some of these songs will grow on me in time though. I didn’t like ‘Roll Me Under’ the first 5 times I heard it but it’s definitely grown on me. I’m leaning more towards the slower songs for now though as a few others have said, some nice music on those but some of the more upbeat songs kinda bored me on first listen, ‘Meadow’ is still the standout to me out of the ‘rockers’ on the album, it’s undeniably catchy and I think they made the right choice releasing it as first single.

So hard to tell from such brief, low quality samples, but I’ve got my money on Thought She’d Be Mind and Guilty being the standouts from the remaining tracks we haven’t heard yet. Red and Blues sounds like a winner as well, definitely has a bit of a Beatles vibe as it kicks in to the chorus.

Sounds like the full album is floating around out there somewhere rather accessible, but call me old fashioned I think I’m just gonna wait for the real thing. Haven’t been this excited for an STP related release since S/T1.
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

No way I wasnt going to listen to an early leak. I can't believe one of the best songs on here is Good Shoes such a horrible name for a song but so is Meadow and they are both killer tracks. STP is all over this release but I think Jeff brought a different element to the band than Weiland or Chester. Hoping for another 4-5 releases from this lineup.

Absolutely. I feel like This could be a radio hit.

Great review on AN, also Brett. Probably the most accurate description of what I, also, hear in this album.
