Success of the singles (thus far)
« on: February 21, 2018, 06:18:40 PM »
Hey

Thought it'd be nice to have a thread compiling observations on how well the three singles are doing.

I live in the burbs of Chicago...we've had some cool rock channels come and go...Q101 has been awful for years. I haven't heard Meadow played once....however, there is a southwest Chicagoland city of Joliet with a rock channel that was consistently playing Meadow.

I haven't heard Roll Me Under on either channels, and I doubt The Art will be either.

Anyone have any observations in terms of chart success, radio observations, satellite radio, etc?

Meadow seemed to do very well on this site...but obviously this isn't a station.

And the band is actually featured on the front page for The Art...

Back to the topic, you guys hearing anything played ? And do we think the band is done making videos?

If it weren't for this board, I wouldn't even know these songs existed.

Vaporized - "I can confirm that it's neither Gutt or Borja."

Meadow is #6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks :

"This week's most popular mainstream rock songs, ranked by radio airplay detections on mainstream rock-formatted stations, as measured by Nielsen Music."

I haven't heard any of the 3 tracks played on the radio in my area.

It's only Meadow that has been released to radio. I wouldn't expect the other 2 tracks to chart. They aren't singles in the traditional sense.

Q101 is no longer.....Well, on the old radio format that is. They last aired July of 2013 I think? It's WKQX now. It was a talk radio format for awhile before they went back to a rock station.

The old Q101 still streams I THINK.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

This.

Don't think of them as "singles".  Think of them as "teasers" for the fans.

The other two tracks weren't officially "released".

So then would be it fair to assume that there are two-three more tracks that the band views as being worth a "traditional single release"?

I think this is the case. I don't think we've heard all the best songs on this album.
