How do you feel about the new STP single - 'Meadow'? (Poll)

Here’s a bit of an observation - I️ kind of like that Gutt is a presence on social media.  It’s something the band pretty much ignores. I️ know Robert has a Twitter but he isn’t overly active on it. Dean is straight out of the 70’s, man. Lol maybe the increased exposure on these platforms is a help.

The amount of posts on facebook/instagram yesterday alone almost matched the amount they've had the past couple of years.  I hope it lasts.  Something they've always seemed to be a bit behind on.

I'm actually surprised how many positive comments have been thrown their way. Of course, there will be those that refuse to give it a chance, but it's been a less percentage than I expected.

I dig the song, it's catchy and energetic, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like Jeff Gutt's voice with STP's sound. I feel like he's evoking Tiny Music-era Scott, but not too much.. also this reminds me of Talk Show, which I love.

Yeah I’ve seen a few comments in other threads of people basically saying it sucks but they haven’t voted here. I didn’t know how to post a poll in a pre existing thread either hence why I posted a seperate one for the poll.

Honestly it’s a good track. Some of the instrumental stuff is a little over the top. I think somehow the song could flow better. But it’s still a very good piece and honestly Jeff Gutt surprised me. He shines and while I’m not so huge into how close he can sing the old stuff like scott... I think they have potential to have a good album with him.


Bottom line. They got the right guy. The track is good.
