Its...ok?  I'll give it a few more listens and see if it sticks.

I love the music. The vocals are an unexpected direction, kinda sounds like Josh Todd. I will have to listen to this many more times to get used to it before I can make a true judgement.

On first listen I think it's good, but I'll have to listen to it more.

Well, this is almost exactly what I expected after the artwork. Musically something between "STP" (2010) and "High Rise" (which were not bad). Vocally it reminds much more "STP". The song is not bad but with the new voice altogether it lacks distinctive mark of STP (but perhaps the same problem was on "STP" and "High Rise" too).

It sounds a bit unfamiliar, like a new unknown band - probably we should simply get used to the new singer.
Imho "Meadow" sounds just like a good classic/old-style/average rock song. Choruses are catchy I think.

I hope it's a new chapter of history for STP! I wish the band all the best.

Anyway, whether we like it or not, the single sounds promising and we can feel the band is in good mood - STP are back on track!  8)

It’s actually okay and that’s coming from someone who was expecting to hate it!
I definitely prefer it to the stuff on ‘High Rise’. It’s nothing groundbreaking and it’s obviously no ‘Down’ but for a radio single in 2017 it could catch on. As I keep saying though I hope they spread their wings a little more musically on the album.

This song has a summer vibe, think they released it in the wrong season!
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long

Yes, you're quite right, I think it is a very important thing. STP were always much more than just a simple rock band.

I agree with you about the summer vibe. Also "STP" (2010) had this summer vibe too. The "Meadow" artwork has similar vibe too. I feel the album would sound in this way.

Did you really identify the producer by sound?

I also hear a cross between HR and the self-titled. Not bad. What David Coverdale is to Robert Plant, Gutt is to Weiland. About as good as could be expected.

The verse gives me an INXS feel (post-rockstar show), however some parts do take me back to Tiny music. Gutt sounds very INXS + Oasis on this song. But then comes the bridge where I really think he sounds eerily similar to Scott! I hope Dean goes all out on his solos on the album, we need Longer solos!!!

Comparisons aside, Meadow's a really catchy track. Definitely interesting. They've decided this is the way to go, so I hope they put all their insane energies on this one as it's a fresh start and starts can do that. It may not be artsy, but the guys won't disappoint regardless of what they pull off on the album coz it's the Deleo's!

It’s pretty good. The boys sound tight as hell and we’ll have to get accustomed to the new frontman. But if you compare it to the stuff that’s out in rock radio land now, it’s damn catchy.

Not what I would call an introductory single.
That chorus definitely gives me an Oasis vibe a little...which at times, Talk Show did too.
Upon first listen, can’t say it was love, but it gets better with every listen.

Definite summer vibe to the song, perfect for me as I’m in Australia

To be honest this a very pop rocky song which  can appeal to the mainstream, classic stp I really dig it and think Jeff has done a great job. Look forward to the album!
