Rene Mata is good friends with Jeff Gutt.  Good clue.  Likely to be Gutt if this is the case.

Definitely has a direct connection with Gutt, but he seems to work in management for a lot of people (including Matt Sorum.) So while my gut says Gutt (heh), it really could still be anybody with how connected this guy seems to be.

Like I said before, they should have released each puzzle piece 12 hours later, so the final piece would coincide with the concert and the Sirius XM announcement... And then we could have actually gotten something at the end of the countdown.

Or line it up so the final piece was released tomorrow....after the announcement...tied with a new single. Kudos for trying.
And it’s not that we, fans, can’t be pleased. It’s more that we want the very best for these dudes. So seeing a career filled with “what could have been” again and again is frustrating.

No, they've just posted pics of their gear at the Troubadour without any captions. Seems like they are being cryptic and hoping people will be interested enough to search around and find out what's going on.

Yeah, STP's marketing team sat on it's balls tonight. The puzzle pieces counting to nothing, no social media posts about the interview until the eleventh hour, posting images of Gutt BEFORE his confirmation on Trunk's show, and still no official press release about Gutt getting the job.

At this rate, they'll release the album, then start promoting it two weeks later.

Something I always found interesting was when they split with Scott in 2013, both Scott and STP continued on with having terrible management.

Yeah, you really gotta wonder what the band and their management was thinking with that Twitter Terminator line "Scott Weiland has been officially terminated" post.

They've obviously not improved. It takes some serious dumbassery to hype up whatever the fuck "Meadow" is for several days and then just act like it doesn't exist when it comes to promoting your new image.
