STP has found new singer that "fits the bill"

Dean says the new singer search is over. Keeping my expectations low here, both in accuracy of the report and caliber of singer. We'll see.

I think new music will be imminent then. I bet they are sending a single to radio very soon.

Are there any festivals they usually play at this time of year that they might be planning a surprise appearance at?

Unless there are holiday related radio events, I think most festivals are done for the year.

Not sure if we'll see something new this year. "hopefully soon" is a relative term in STP-land. HAHA!

They have said the singer search is over in other recent interviews too. They also said they hope to reveal it in the next month or so. Hopefully that is indeed the case. I'm confident in the guys that they will choose the right singer.

I was just reading about that. I guess I'll need to wait for some new tunes to know for sure if I'll like his fit with STP...if the rumor is true.

Well, I can see that working. He can certainly sing and seems to have a strong sense of melody.

God I hope not. No disrespect to this cat but he doesn't have any deep growl like Gutt or Borja. I think its needed for STP's best songs that are off Core and Purple. Just an opinion
