This is horrible and depressing and hard to process. I've never been an LP fan, but I've obviously been Chester's biggest supporter on this forum and I've always respected him. He was an incredible, underrated talent who I feel was held back the era he lived in. He was also about as genuine and kind as an individual could be in the music industry.
For those trying to make sense of this, all I can tell you is depression makes no sense. It's not about being loved enough, or rich enough, or successful enough, and it sure as shit can't be fixed simply by thinking 'happy thoughts.' All it takes is 10 minutes of deciding the world is better without you, or that life is too unbearable, to kill yourself. Just like with Kurt and Chris, and Scott and Layne and Andy, you can see from Chester's music and lyrics that he had all the signs of depression. So as sudden as this feels, it can't be too entirely unexpected.
