My point is that she must have done something right to be where she is.Besides, no one fuckin knows this chick as a person so how in the fuckin world can anyone judge her as a nobody.just because she doesnt like vr...WHO CARES.We do and thats all that matters.

Hey coayave maybe i was a little harsh, sorry.i know ur expressing ur view.
But just as a side thought, the difference between amy and paris is, one has talent and one doesnt.
Now talent is subjective but however shit we think amy is as a vocalist, she has shifted records so some people are diggin it.
We still cant judge her as a person.
How many parisites have judged weiland in the past and writ them off as pj plagurists?
We should remember that, we only see and hear what the media feeds us, we have to dig a little deeper.
Dont like something? we have the right to ignore it.
They are more pressing issues in the world.

Ozzyed, I never stated if she was a someone or a no one. I was simply expressing my opinion on your view of Amy Lee being a 'somebody' because "Shes made some money and her band...however shit we think they are..have made it in the limelight". I think money has nothing to do with someone's character and spiritual development...and to me, those two key developments are what makes one a 'somebody'.  I never once said Amy lacked talent, I personally think she has an amazing voice. Never once did I claim to know or judge Amy as a human being, I simply was arguing my point on the whole money and celebrity making you a 'someone'. Maybe you should read posts more slowly before jumping down someone's throat? Just a thought. ;)

well, after seeing Evanescence perform at the fucking Billboard awards a few weeks ago, I can say that Amy Lee isn't in the greatest of bands, they started out with just her on piano and an orchestra (cheesy to begin with) and proceeded to do her Justin Hawkins voice all thru the song. It was sucking pretty bad, then the band comes in for the last couruses, and man I swear, every single one of them was playing in a different key! it was the most embarrassing performance by a band live at any award show! These people are supposed to be proffesionals! Musicians? that's debatable. Fuck.
She has no right to be dissing any bands, much less VR, when she and her own band is incompetent live.

i admit i love evanescence when it came out but i was young and naive. fuck i hadn't even heard of alice in chains beyond the fact my dad had dirt. then i got bored. she sucks live (which tells us something). and she lost the only person who was mildly talented and wrote all the songs.

since i'm out of that phase.... vr kicks serious ass...metal edge people's choice awarded them the Best New Band of the Year. amy lee needs a life. if she gets bored w/ vr she's fucked. best guitar player, best bass player, one of the best drummers, best singer, and best rhythm guitarist. damn...
