I don't recall exactly which interview it was, it may have been the infamous Stern interview, but I want to say I recall Scott saying that Janina was doing very well and that she was (at the time of the interview) married to some rich banker dude whom she had known for a long time. I recall him referring to Janina as a "wonderful person".
I'm sure she didn't have any statements to make about Scott for the simple reason of what was she supposed to say? She's never been a public figure to begin with. She never seemed to want to be in the limelight. The impression that I get is that Janina is probably just a regular person with a life that she keeps private just like the rest of us.
As far as her former marriage goes, I would be willing to bet that those are years she would rather just forget ever happened. Listen closely to the words of Interstate Love Song. She was living turbulently with an addict who was constantly lying in order to maintain his reality.
Some of those who are closest to me in life are addicts and it's very difficult dealing with them and the constant crazy excuses (lies) and the disappointment they cause, so I know first hand what that is like. I however only have to deal with it in doses, I can't imagine how horrible it must be to be married to that or have to live with someone like that. It takes a very special kind of patience, I must say. So ultimately, yeah, I'm willing to bet it was probably difficult to move on from it all for Janina, but at the same time once she did move on Im also sure she probably doesn't want to look back, and probably wishes she could have those years of wasted youth back to spend with someone else. I'm sure she learned a lot from the experience though.
As far as songs go..... I think Atlanta, Church On Tuesday, Interstate Love Song, Still Remains, and Sour Girl are all about her. As I recall, Scott does talk about it a little bit in an interview from Montreal TV that I have a dvd copy of. (That is a fantastic interview btw, the band seems super happy and the chemistry is totally there) I don't know if it's on YouTube or not.
