What a cash in joke, looks like YouTube concert footage edited on Windows Movie Maker.

You could be right. Or just a low budget thing, as obviously Scott probably didn't throw any cash into it.

It just looks like someone who got press credentials to get backstage and just decided to film everything with a cheap camera.  I could have done the same thing in November when I interviewed Scott.

It's definitely a cheap production. Will be interesting to see if it ever see's the light of day, although it would be rather sad.

Was reading about the Elliot Smith documentary and was actually thinking 'i hope someone puts together a nice piece about Scott, one day.'

But this... ugh!
Even hearing him hardly get his sentences out is painful and quite frankly NOT what/how I wanna see Scott immortalized as, from a fan's perspective anyway.

I agree, but it is part of his story. I just think it would be better suited to come out in a total career documentary, rather than just The Wildabouts thing.

You're right. It IS part of the story. The saddest part of all.

I really hope someone would make a proper long documentary about Scott, his music and life. I think it will happen eventually.

I'm really hoping a bonafide writer / director does a Scott Weiland movie.  There is certainly a lot of dramatic material that would interest even non-STP diehards.

Judd Apatow would be a perfect choice.  He's a huge STP fan. (https://twitter.com/juddapatow/status/672695485090566144)

"Professional", as they use, is very wrong word watching the trailer. But anyways, i'm waiting to see this. It's not Scott as his best, but i enjoyed to listen the youtube clips from MB tour till the end. Of course seeing Scott's empty expression, suffering, made me sad, still does. I just wish his last year and tour would have been happy great times. He would be probably still alive and touring.

Just seeing this thread...I am the filmmaker of Man Of Velvet And Stone.
I appreciate all feedback...positive and negative....but I think it's odd to bash a film you have yet to see lol

In My Words thanksfor capturing more footage of Scott and his legacy that is very cool and appreciated. I think what some people feel on here is just it was at his worst, but that is by no means your fault. Me personally i understand all facets, the rise, the fall and all stages in between. Again, thanks for bringing another phase of Scott to the board.

Thank you very much...we were fortunate to have been given the opportunity to film him for a local TV show in the Boston area. Upon his passing, the footage became something entirely different than the original intent. I am very proud of my work on the project, and honored to have the only footage from the final tour that isn't shot on someone's cellphone. The film is nearly complete, and I invite all to see the finished project for themselves and judge it as they will. By no means is the film meant to be exploitative, or anything but respectful to the gracious man I was honored to meet and film.
