In a perfect world Scott would be alive, sober and at the top of his game, and STP would still be together and touring their latest album.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

I would fall asleep at that concert, it would be about 10 hours long. No thanks. And finishing on a VR song? Please.

Struggling to see why Dave Coutts would be performing.

Get Myles Kennedy all the way the fuck up out of here.
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

Everyone and everything in the world seems to be purposely trying to avoid any mention of Scott. Even tonight on the Dateline episode of Prince's life and career, it got to the end where the other recently deceased  musicians who "touched their own generations" with their work, were mentioned, and couldn't help but notice Scott was not mentioned, yet they went back and fourth to the others showing multiple clips and all from them.

I mean at this point, the media is actually putting effort into avoiding Scott... it's actually sad, and embarrassing on their part. I guess someone who had challenges in their life time is beneath their perfect selves... I honestly am really bothered by this mentality to avoid the existance of such a great artist... no offense whatsoever to the musicians/artist that keep getting mentioned... but its not right on so many levels to ignore the existence of another human being that should be mentioned along with their contributions to mainstream music history.

I don't think it's intentional, it's because Scott had made himself totally irrelevant and a complete trainwreck joke in his final few years following his firing from STP.  He had become a shell of himself who struggled to get a couple hundred fans in a club.  His behavior during this time also alienated just about all of his former bandmates and many of his peers, and even his oldest and most loyal friends.  Corey Hickok told me he hadn't seen or spoken to Scott in 2 years, and the same went for most of Scott's true friends.

If he'd died even just 5 years ago I'll bet there would have been more press/tributes and even a tribute show.

I don't know but certain members of the media definitely made an effort to portray him as a "trainwreck joke" I'm sure that did wonders for helping him stay positive while battling his demons.

Bullshit.  What did 'wonders' for him was Tommy always having his drugs for him.  The people who called Scott out on his bullshit were the ones who actually cared, and those were the ones he shut out.  I reported the truth.  I fantasized about waking up one day to report that Scott was in rehab, but it never happened unfortunately.  Scott was an addict who self-destructed, it was a trainwreck, it fucking sucks, and it's a tragedy.

I just don't think it's helpful to pile on someone who is self medicating partially due to depression and emotional instability. Seems like they need positivity not more reasons to be depressed.
