Lavish is up for sale/lease $4200 a month
« on: January 30, 2016, 04:51:25 PM »
This is such sad news. Doug Grean posted a photo on Facebook last night of Lavish Studio with a 'For Lease' sign hanging above the entrance. Doug also stated that it was "Sad. An end of an era". I tried to post a photo of Grean's post but can't figure it out.

Here's a link to the leasing info for Lavish and contact info for the building owners. How cool would it be to own this studio and carry on the musical legacy of Scott and Rocco. I'll just keep dreaming I guess.

Damn that is sad. I thought Scott owned that space and Rocco would be able to carry on there.

Such a beautiful place, it would be amazing to walk in there and just simply be there for a little while. Check out picture 6, looks like the framed record of purple on the wall.:. One of the two anyway

Oh man, I'd get in on that in a heartbeat if I was a bit wealthier. That'd be an amazing space to work with. Connection to Scott aside, it's a beautiful place anyway. That's rough, I really hope it goes to somebody who will use it well.

It's interesting all the equipment and memorabilia is in all the photos. I imagine that stuff would be liquidated to pay off Scott's debts.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

I don't know how I'd ever trust some random person on Craigslist enough to spend $750 on "Scott Weiland's monitors".  I feel like the seller HAS to have a picture of Scott Weiland using these to make a claim like this.
Hr308: "Cuatro, i nearly did this because 5 g's is nothing to me."

Vaporized - "I can confirm that it's neither Gutt or Borja."

About 10 years ago I used to live about a half hour from this area. I would love to rent this for even a month just to walk around the place and inhale the vibe.

I live very close to both the studio and where those monitors are, probably.

Question is, what would I do with Weiland's monitors, if I actually bought them? Sure, it's extremely unique and one-of-a-kind, but I'm not even a musician and lugging giant speakers around with me down the years as I move from residence to residence doesn't seem all that appealing.

Anyone else that actually WANTS them, I'd be willing to facilitate going to look at them & picking them up, etc, if said person wasn't local themselves.

And actually, I wouldn't mind "owning" them temporarily or holding them for someone... Just so I could say I had them in my possession at one point. But I really don't want to lug what look like very big, very heavy speakers around with me the rest of my life.

Also, they might not even be his.

Exactly! As much as I love Scott and STP, lugging his speakers around for the rest of my life seems somewhat like a burden more than anything.
