I was talking to one of my friends about this and he's taking antidepressants daily and drinks alcohol on them,he also takes diazepam for panic attacks from time to time and prescription sleeping pills occasionally on top of that. Now I'm not saying this is like Scott's situation because my friend is younger (30's) and has never done illegal drugs but the point I'm trying to make is that if my friend was on tour right now he'd have most of that shit with him too. It doesn't mean Scott was mixing it or taking it at the same time or whilst drunk.
When doctors or psychiatrists prescribe these meds they know what mixes okay with others and stress if you can or can't drink alcohol on them. Perhaps Scott didn't listen and did just pop them all at once and wash them down with a vodka but the list itself (minus the cocaine) isn't that sinister for someone with mental health issues.

And while that may be a valid point, his behavior over the last few years spells out something much different than what you're talking about.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Oh I agree totally, it was more in response to TMZ's 'tour bus was pharmacy on wheels' comment...

You get so caught up with discussing a story, or a memory, that somehow your mind wanders a bit until it all comes back to you. I came across some "upcoming" tour dates. And it just rips your heart out all over again.

Gotcha. Leave it to a low-class reporting scheme like them to make it out to sound as horrible as possible.

It seems Viagra has an off-label use for some heart ailments, including some versions of cardiomyopathy.

I am really surprised Scott wasn't on any high blood pressure medication with the smoking and the drinking.

Buprenorphine can be abused, but the literature seems to say that it is less likely than other prescriptions for opioid dependence.

Really, the question is if it was one doctor prescribing these and if not, if the other doctors knew what he was taking. If not, then I would assume he was using different pharmacies. If so, then his regimen was probably safe.

...but not with the booze!

Wasn't Scott recently sick, as well? This is A TRILLION PERCENT SPECULATION, but if he was, something otc coupled with all of that AND the booze... 😁

Pure coincidence, obviously, but eerie nonetheless.

Let's see what the coroner's report says.

About how long does it usually take?

In the TMZ article it said 4-8 weeks. It took a long time for Jeremy's report.

Not splitting hairs - but:

They are waiting for the toxicology report. The coroner, I assume, has long been finished with the autopsy and is now awaiting results from whatever body parts/fluids they test. We already know how he died - a massive heart attack. Now we need to wait to see what caused it - and I don't think that's going to be very surprising.

I think 6-8 weeks is normal turnaround time for something like that. It may possibly be quicker than that.

I'm not sure how much detail they will go into with regards to what substances (if any) caused his death... With Jeremy Brown all they said was 'multiple drug intoxication' didn't they?? I don't recall them ever going into more detail about what those drugs were though?

This is all I can find online regarding Jeremy's death -

"The death of Jeremy Brown, Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts’ guitarists, has been released by the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. The report states that Brown’s death was an accident, and the result of intoxication from multiple drugs.

Coronary atherosclerosis and cardiomegaly are also listed as significant causes."
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long
