it goes to show how popular stp and scott are. the guy told them, i'm scott weiland (and may or may not have said, from the stone temple pilots) and it didn't ring a bell with the cops.
No I think it did. I remember the cops saying something after the fact about how the mistake was the result of the guy looking so much like Scott (he doesn't, really). Even if he was a dead ringer, it's completely inexcusable to fuck up that royally. Glad to see they the police department had to pay their due.
