This show was suppose to be in Marion, see below. The venue had preparation issues and cancelled the whole event late in the game. The band was in town with no where to play but they found a venue and the show was announced about 48 hours before the gig. The venue they played was The Boathouse in Myrtle Beach. There is an outdoor stage there on the water front and in an indoor stage, they played indoors. The show in Marion was suppose to be pro shot for TV but that obviously got scrapped.

The legendary 44 million record-selling former frontman of such iconic bands as Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver is back in full force.  Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts are supporting their upcoming album 'Blaster' set for release onMarch 31st.
Veteran southern rockers Molly Hatchet will surely appeal to the biker crowd, and were added to the line-up for Saturday, May 16th at the 20,000-seat amphitheater stage on the bill that includes the previously announced Buckcherry. With classics like "Flirtin' With Disaster" and "Dreams I'll Never See," Molly Hatchet is the perfect addition to an already epic evening.  "Molly Hatchet and Buckcherry together on the same bill are pretty awesome. Put them in front of a biker audience—and it becomes a show that you don't want to miss. You just don't know what will happen.  On the stage or in the crowd," said Gornell.
Added to the bar stage line-up for Friday, May 15th are the LA based rockers The Chimpz, who are largely known for having songs featured in the biker dramatic masterpiece—Sons Of Anarchy. On an explosive path, the video for their latest track "California" has been in the Top 10 of Loudwire's Weekly Video Chart for 12 straight weeks! The Chimpz will be closing the bar stage before rocker-legend Bret Michaelstakes the stage at the amphitheater with The Flaunt Girls.
Motorcycles and rock n' roll have long gone together—but only now is the music experience as 'front and center' as the motorcycles.  It's a concert series and music experience first, but it's dedicated to serving the biker community with rally events, rides, attractions, and non-stop live music from multiple stages.   What's more, Swamp Fox Biker Bash is not only delivering the goods to the core group of established American-made motorcyclists—but also targeting both younger riders and female riders.
"By embracing music first as well as the younger riders and female riders, we're creating a next generation rally," says Robert Hartmann, the founder and CEO of Swamp Fox Entertainment Complex. Other artists previously announced include southern rock legends The Marshall Tucker Band and Season 7 winner of NBC'sThe Voice, Craig Wayne Boyd, on Thursday, May 14th.
Hartmann continued, "As if motorcycles and music weren't enough, we're building a world-class amphitheater and festival ground here at the Swamp Fox Entertainment Complex that will soon include a record-breaking bar extending over 800-feet."
Other attractions involve biker emcee extraordinaire Dumptruck (the often-voice ofHarley-Davidson and Jack Daniels), motorcycle "wall of death" stunt shows, build-offs, "I'm With The Band" readings from none other than Pamela Des Barres, daily burlesque shows, body painting, daily mechanical bull contests with incredible prizes—and even live alligator wrestling.  But the foundation is music—and for ten days, countless bands will be performing live from 10am until the wee hours every single day.

Swamp Fox Entertainment Complex:Newly launched in 2015, the Swamp Fox Entertainment Complex is home to a 20,000-seat amphitheater, 250-acre festival ground, and is soon-to-claim the world's largest bar. The complex will host several major festival events per year along with regularly scheduled concerts. In December of 1847 the South Carolina legislature officially named the 4.3 square mile city that would eventually become the home of this Complex and Amphitheater. The name they chose was Marion—after Francis Marion, the hero Brigadier General from the American Revolutionary War. Francis Marion earned the nickname "Swamp Fox" from a British Colonel who was unable to capture him in the swamps of South Carolina. The name Swamp Fox has since become synonymous with the city of Marion itself and an endearing nickname for American fortitude and down-home values. www.SwampFoxBikerBash.com

They had an opener, a singer/guitarist who I believe was from NC. The band ended up hitting stage around 10:30pm or so, here was the setlist:

Crackerman
Modzilla
Amethyst
Meatplow
The Way She Moves
Big Bang Baby
Hotel Rio
Parachute
White Lightning
Vasoline
Jean Jenie
Dead and Bloated
Circles
Unglued

Some other notes from the show. The band sounded good and Joey Castillo adds some great steady power to the band. Nick sounded good and the band sounded cohesive. Scott sounded good and I was pleased to hear so many of the new tunes off Blaster as I dig the album from start to finish. It is really a shame about Jeremy and his untimely passing. This show was a last minute announcement as I mentioned and was free. They did not set up a merch table. I was able to talk to Tommy Black a bit before the show and spent quite a bit of time talking with Joey Castillo before the show, great dude and conversation. After the show, I was able to get some stuff signed by Scott which was the first time I was able to catch him after a show. Despite the last minute announcement of the show, the place was fairly well packed. It was a great Wednesday night.

Here is a picture from Tommy Blacks instagram account from the Myrtle Beach shore. He also has some brief video in that account of the massive amount of motor cycles in the lot of the venue, it was bike week.

I can't make out what that VR thing is, what is it?

Q is just a brand of drums though. Interestingly enough, Joey Castillo does not officially endorse Q drums, but Danny Thompson does.

Thanks for the info.

That Velvet Revolver item was an equipment cabinet that was on stage.

Scott is still doing this feedback distortion thing with the band. He sometimes catches noise coming out of the speakers through the bull horn, he also has that little distortion box on one of the cabinets on the stage he tinkers with, and he also starts to play around with the bass or guitarist players equipment on the floor. I don't mind it, it somehow reminds me of Neil Young's album ARC. He has been doing this off and on in his solo shows, STP shows and now Wildabout shows. He seems to have fun with it. He has done it to open a show, close a show, sometimes in the middle of the show, and sometimes he does it more than once in a show.
