I think the problem is fans often attribute this god-like status to their music idols, when mostly they're just people like you and me, which makes it impossible for them to live up to that in person. Some do it better than others, sure, but the bottom line is they are human beings like the rest of us with real flaws and some of them, like our friend Scott, are not social people and can be ornery around their fans. I'm not saying it's acceptable for Scott to act the way he has, as he is an extreme case, but you hear way more stories about people meeting their idols and ending up disappointed instead of amazed.
