A guy called Rob McDonald posted the following on Scott's Facebook page -

"I knew Jeremy on a personal level. We were in a band together in Colorado. His family took me in after my dad passed away. He was also a pallbearer at my dads funeral. He was one of the most gifted guitarists that I've ever had the pleasure of writing music with but more importantly he was a good friend. I'm heartbroken about his passing. RIP brother!"

I must have missed this statement:

In a statement Tuesday (March 31) Weiland said simply that, “I’d like to dedicate today’s release of our album, Blaster, to my friend and collaborator Jeremy Brown. It breaks my heart that you are not here to receive the recognition you so deserve and worked so hard for”.

So sad  :'(

Can't even imagine what his mother's going through. Losing your husband and 3 sons must be unfathomable grief.
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

When I heard the news about Jeremy I teared up. I felt somewhat connected to the guy after seeing him perform 5 times. The last time I saw him with the Wildabouts, I realized his guitar pedalboard. He set it up with a night light so that he could properly see the settings in the dark room. I found that to be so cool and you could really tell that he cared about his instrument. I was going to comment that he seemed a bit upset/depressed that night, and I guess it makes sense now that he's gone. Nobody knows the cause of death but it's inevitable that he was going through something. Whatever it was, I mourn Jeremy and his family. He was truly a genius. Blaster has been on constant replay in my life in recent days and his guitar parts shine through.

Good idea, but i don't think any other shows than new york has been filmed from the latest tour. And it wasn't top performance by Scott. Troubadour show in the end of 2014 would be ace. Modzilla video was shot there, maybe they filmed full show.

I was on IG on the HOB page about STP's show, and I read a comment some girl posted about Scott cancelling that 3/30 show due to bandmate's suicide.

Have any details regarding Jeremy's death come out?

I still haven't heard anything official.  I'm sure what you read on that other site is someone who is assuming suicide.

It's very insensitive to spread rumors like this, and we should not be repeating them here.

I'm sure grunge report, sorry, "alternative nation", will post a link we can click on once the information is available.

Read the comments there. You won't find out why we lost him, but there's some insight from people who knew Jeremy and a little about his family's health history.

I wish that a few of those commenters could've taken Jeremy's place. Particularly, "Mike". Whether Jeremy was a famous musician or not, trashing him after passing is such a scumbag thing to do.

Unfortunately it's the price you pay when associating w/ Scott.
