Man, I hope this doesn't mess Scott up too bad...I always thought he went off the rails and VR feel apart after the loss of his brother.

Don't get me wrong. Jeremy is the one gone, so I don't want to make this about Scott, but I'd be lying if I said that this wasn't one of the first things that crossed my mind.
He's been through so much.

I agree with all of this. Terrible, tragic news and so sad to hear. Condolences to Jeremy's family and friends.

Hope Scott is able to handle this and heal - such a sad thing to happen on such an exciting day.

This is all so true, how much more shit can life throw at this guy? It's sad to think his guitarist dying the day of their album release probably wouldn't even crack the top 5 worst things to ever happened to him.

How true. I hope that at a time like this some "old friends" could pick up the phone and reach out to him with some words of consolation.

I hate to speculate like that, but its possible. It could have been natural causes, but it seems so weird how a young guy could die out of nowhere without more to the story. Regardless of what happened, it's truly shocking.

I would think (and i could be wrong) that if it was an accident, murder or known illness, those details would surface relatively quickly in the press.
Something like an OD or suicide, maybe not so much.

Is there any more information yet as to the cause of Jeremy's death?

I agree Sklash -- if Jeremy was somehow the victim in his death, I'm sure we would know more about it already. The fact that we don't know much is not a good sign. This whole thing is terrible. I really feel for Jeremy's family, friends, and fans.

I'm not very consistent in my posts on here, but I felt it'd only be appropriate for me to pay my respects to Jeremy Brown. I had the opportunity to see The Wildabouts earlier this month and ended up not going, due to personal scheduling, but that's besides the point.

I've once again realized how fragile life can be, and we should really at times 'just go for it', as they say and make the most of our lives, striking when the moment calls for it.

I really do now wish I could've seen the band when I had the chance, just a few weeks ago.

I wish nothing but the best for Scott, and the rest of the band, and that they carry on with absolute strength in there hearts.

The best way to pay tribute to Jeremy is to pick up a copy of Blaster today (if you haven't already) and blast it as loud & as proudly as possible.

He may be away from this world, but he's made his stamp, and left us with a killer record that can never be taken away.

Great post. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be directly in front of him in Dallas last year, he really impressed me. One thing that I really admired about Jeremy was how he let his music do the talking. He wasn't overly flashy, he minded his own business and just came out and rocked night after night. I hope Scott and the rest of the band find the strength to continue on, as they've really turned into something special. Blaster is a great record. I know Jeremy was a big part in that, All the best to Jeremy's friends and family in this difficult time.

Found out this morning and did not hit me until now. Too sudden, out of the blue.

The tragedy around this is beyond words. If it was as unexpected for family and friends as it was for us, I can not imagine how devasted they are right now.
Not having a warning and losing such a young and talented life is twice as painfull.

I hope Jeremy has found peace. I hope people who love him have the strenght to go through this together.

I saw this post in the morning and couldn't believe what I was reading! Of what I've seen of Jeremy live via vids, he had this intent and love for the music showing. The work he's done on Blaster is truly amazing. At this point, when Scott really needed to bounce back, the wildabouts gave it their all. Not a bad song in there, no filler material. N the fun garage vibe n old school n yet modern sound they pulled off goes to show how they all worked so well in unison. N Jeremy stands out so much every song! Wish he'd have been able to see the release coz these guys really have put their all in it.

Still hasn't sunk in that we've lost Jeremy. So young and at a point where he's shown the world what he's about. One helluva record and a stamp and nostalgia trip for many in this age of music, I'm sure. We sure will miss you, every lil bit of Blaster we'll listen to! RIP Jeremy!

Any word on what happened?  Being connected to Scott, I'm sure most will speculate he OD'd.
