WTF? That would be absolutely horrible if it's true.  For everyone's sake I hope this is all just a classic example of "telephone".  I haven't been able to find anything else about this either.

I don't mean to be the internet creeper, but seeing as I'm friends with Jeremy on facebook I did some digging. Obviously nobody has said anything, but his sister just changed her profile and cover pictures to him about an hour ago. Additionally, people who work for Scott's management have posted the following things.on FB: "Life is delicate, don't take a single second for granted. Cherish every moment you get with friends and family."
life is short -- honor the time you have with those who are near and dear.

I found another profile besides his sister with the profile pic changed to a pic of him as of an hour ago. I think he's gone.

We received a call today about my friend Jeremy Brown that has shaken me to the core. We were all concerned this afternoon when Jeremy didn’t show up for a long-scheduled rehearsal for tonight’s album release show at School Night. An hour later, Jeremy’s family called us to say that he had passed away. I am in shock right now, everyone that knows him is devastated. It is a terrible loss that goes beyond words. He is one of my best friends, a truest friend and one of the most gifted guitar players that I’ve ever known. A true genius. It’s impossible to explain how much he will be missed and what a hole this will leave in our hearts. A post on Facebook feels so trite and small compared to the love that I have for him and for the talent that has passed on but I felt it was necessary to at least start here. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

What a coincidence that this tragedy happened on the US release of Blaster. I wonder how this is going to affect festival dates coming up? I am pretty sure this is true unfortunately. Meeting Jeremy, he seemed very down to earth and I was digging his playing especially on Blaster. This is kind of crazy.

Wow...this really sucks. I don't know the guy that much to know if he had a history of medical problems or anything.....very unexpected.
