A new album with a live DVD from this tour would be awesome.

I disagree.

Thinking just like a fan, of course, it would be awesome but I think they need to build something more consistent, like a brand new album.

They are trying to rediscover themselves again and find their ID.
Whatever they say I am, that's what I'm not!

Making a live DVD doesn't have much impact on the new CD... They're already doing a live tour all summer, they just need to get the videos of it, pick the songs-- or concert-- they like best, get some artists to do some cover art and menu screens, and release it. It's probably only a month or two of work after the concert and it doesn't impeed on their ability to write in any way.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

ok, id also kill for a dvd of that Houdini Mansion thing and stuff... or something about the whole reunion tour..but sincerely id prefer one for old stuff. the thank you dvd was poor on that..with all those crowd recordings. i dont have 'em but i know there're lots of tv shows for the first two albums somewhere, and STP didnt get a video legacy as they deserve..So lets start by old shit dvds and then all the new. thats it o me.

I'd be all over that like stink on shit.

Especially if they covered some of their smaller shows, Asbury Convention Center, Roseland, Hammerstein Ballroom, etc.  Ya know - it would bring back memories of the teen-age me! :D

They should definately pick the "best" performance on their new tour ,which might be hard considering what I've read about how great the performances were on this forum, and release a DVD of it, complete with backstage/ tour footage.  It would truly be appropriate to call it "Your Welcome"!

I'd rather have a DVD from a previous tour. I know that they professionally filmed shows on the Tiny Music tour with a 25 song setlist. so I'd be much happier if they released something from that era as opposed to this new one.

I have no interest in seeing something from the new tour.
