One listen.  Congrats to Scott on putting out a super cool tune.  Already significantly better than anything on High Rise.

^ Come on guys, aim a little higher.  ;)

One of the many ironies here is that, unwittingly, STP may just have inspired Scott towards his most interesting and creative period since 1998-2001. I emphasise "may have"...

Certainly, it owns VR too and then some.

Gnarly. Those licks are pretty killer. That groove is hard hitting, vocals are a little psychedelic. Bit of a Stone Roses meets George Thorogood vibe. Hyped for Blaster.

Not sure if it owns VR, I really like Scott's work from Libertad. The Deleo's need to just realize they will never be big w/o Scott. Chester is horrible.

I really like that comparison. Well said.

I really like Scott's work from Libertad.

Same here but this is a band. A real one.

Anybody else think that Scott really has his SLDD voice back?

My thoughts exactly!

I don't even know what to say.

This is gonna be fuckin' awesome. A return to form for Weiland we haven't heard since Velvet Revolver's Contraband album.

I really hope there are more tunes we get to hear before March 31st.

Even though they wrote great songs together, it's obvious now Grean was the weak link in the band. My opinion of  Jeremy Brown went from him being a competent guitarist, to a pretty kickass motherfucker who definitely complements Scott's current style.

The whole damn thing reeks of that Weiland swagger we've been missing since his brother's death and his divorce from Mary.

SEVEN THUMBS UP.

I really like it. It sounds like 'Morrison Hotel' era Doors meets The Black Keys.

It sounds better than what I usually expect from Scott these days. The vocals are nice and I like the production, but the song itself is just ok. To be honest, the surprise effect kind of makes this song far more exciting than "High Rise" in my mind, but comparing to individual songs, like "Out Of Time" or "Tomorrow", "White Lightning" is a lot weaker. Plus, part of the intro sounds too much like "Five To One" by The Doors and it kinda bugs me.
I'd say it's just as good/as bad as "Same On The Inside".

Im with Tyrant on this one, 'White Lightning' is good but  its not as good as the first 3 tracks of STPw/C, also 'The Way She Moves' and "Beach Pop Rock" are better tracks than 'While L.." IMO

I thought Modzilla was supposed to be the 'internet' single so this was a nice surprise.

I like the track, but I wish the vocals were mixed a bit higher.
