It has the same vocal track from the STP version (except for the new section he added before the chorus).

I like that new section

"Keeping up with Jones'
We'll catch them if we can
With promises made with a smile on her face

Keeping up with Jones'
and catching them as we can
I'll believe anything, its a beautiful day"

Scott adds a new section, before the chorus (Aaron posted the lyrics above).  Drums and guitar were re-recorded.

I've gotten used to the new version (PM me if you need a copy) although I still much prefer STP's one.

STP cover songs

i was just watching dean's cover of 'the rain song' when he was with AoA, and thought that it would be great if STP actually covered the whole song.
this further lead me to think of all the songs STP has covered...

the doors - roadhouse blues
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmvvZL07dqs

the beatles - revolution
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk6NUjfaXRM

led zeppelin - dancing days
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQRPM8Mm6RQ

filter - hey man nice shot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ip3OOkbDw0

alice in chains - got me wrong
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfUQ9bxxxfY

aerosmith - sweet emotion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dv9Tj3KA ... re=related

the zombies - time of the season (not sure if that was STP, or just scott during the TBB era)
can't find any video of it, sorry folks

anway, just off the top of my head, those were the songs i could think of that STP covered.  Does anyone know of any other songs that they've done?  i always love when bands do cover songs...

I'd REALLY like to hear this one!
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

The Girl From Ipanema (part) - Getz/Gilberto

I have "Lick & A Promise", not great quality though. I'll put a few of these up in the Downloads section later.
