Scott & Doug wrote some cool tunes together, but GOD FUCKIN DAMN his solo band sounds better without that fuckin' wankery from Doug.

Jeremy just seemed like a "competent" guitarist when there was random, sloppy scales played over the tunes, but now one can really appreciate what he brings to the band.

Don't need no Slash or Dean DeLeo in the band.....

Maybe I am a terrible fan, but this is the first time I ever heard that Scott's bassist is from the band PaloAlto.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I went to see STP at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego back in 2000(? 2001?). Waited all day, got a spot on the barricade, and it was one of the few times that I was blown away by the opening band--PaloAlto. Bought both of their albums.

I even have some songs from Golden State, the band that Tommy and singer/songwriter James Grundler started after PaloAlto.

Even funnier, my old drummer, who is now a successful professional musician, played with one of his bands at the Viper Room with Golden State at the same time he was in a band with me. I remember our next practice after that gig and him telling me how he talked to the guys in one of the bands on the same bill (Golden State) and realized they were from PaloAlto, so they had a conversation about how I was a big fan.

Anyway, ya learn something new every day.

I had no idea either about that Paloalto connection. I really enjoyed that first record.
