Does this mean a VR reunion is more likely to occur? Dave and Scott appear to be onboard. Matt hated Scott, but is playing with him tonight. Duff seems like the forgiving type, this only leaves Slash. It's possible!
From Scott's interviews last year it sounded like he and Duff had atleast put things aside, but not necessarily reconciled. I mean I'd be cordial if I ran into my ex out in public, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna agree to meet her out for dinner.
And also, those same interviews said VR was reuniting and they'd be hitting the road ahead of the "Core" tour.
I think Matt & Scott had the biggest fallout at the end of VR but I think Slash was on the same level he just wasn't so dramatic/public about it.
The irony is that they're all so big headed that they feel they don't need to put up with each other in a band together. So they'll do some solo/side-project stuff to keep them busy and then play in a rotating supergroup that has potential to put a different combination of them onstage together.
I highly doubt it will ever happen, but more than anything I'd just like to hear Scott sing some of those songs again to reassure me he still has that voice. He was on a whole higher level up through VR.
I'd actually prefer he sings a little more VR stuff in his solo shows and cut it out with the repetative cover songs. Leave that stuff for Camp Freddy or change it up. Janes Addiction is the only act that has a reason to keep Mountain Song as a staple in their set for 2 years straight.....
Wow that thought started out in one place and broke course 2 or 3 times.....sorry.
