Seven Caged Tigers - without doubt Dean DeLeo's unbelievable ending... I love the way that the effects/reverb kind of fizzle out, and then all you hear are the clean underwater sounding chords of what sounds like a fender strat - very sad... but a great ending to the album.  It's probably one of my top 10 moments on any album, it's not technically the greatest thing ever but it's just so effective - i've even gone to the lengths of doing something similar for a song I recorded with my band a few years back

I truly love this ending. It is so perfect.

Hello, It's Late or Kitchenware

Saddest song Scott's ever written is easily Pictures & Computers though
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

Lyrically speaking it has to be Creep.  Atlanta is a good choice too.

And Plush live when Scott holds out the mic for the crowd to sing along....

This is sad?

Yeah, what makes you feel?

Lyrically speaking, it'd be appropriate to say any song, save Still Remains or Cinnamon.

Dead and Bloated, death is sad
Sex Type Thing, control and abuse of power is sad
Wicked Garden, exploiting women for virginity is sad
Sin, going crazy is sad
Naked Sunday, his portrayal of organized religion is sad
Creep is sad
Piece of Pie, no letting him be your man is sad
Plush, dead girls and failed relationships are sad
Wet My Bed, wetting your bed and not finding Mary is sad
Crackerman, needin a fix is sad
Where the River Goes, wishing you were stronger and wanting to know the rent in heaven is sad

I could go on ;)
You'll never lose it cuz you never had it

And even those 2 can be sad as well...

Still remains: wanting to die if your significant other dies is sad...
Cinnamon: His angel leaving him is also sad...

And so on and so forth...
