James Bond

MGM just had a press conference announcing the next 007 movie Skyfall, and when the topic of who's doing the theme came up, they said they were still looking.

Now this is totally hypothetical, but wouldn't it be awesome if Scott did a Bond theme? His solo material (especially 12 Bar Blues) has that suave edge that could make it work. Its not totally out of question either, given that Chris Cornell and Jack White did the last two songs.

Would be great if he were approached, he surely would make a great theme and he's know for his song "Lady Your Roof Brings Me Down" [Great Expectations OST] most (solo-wise), so adding another song in the soundtrack list would be superb! But im also scared at the same time that they'd go for a more mainstream artist :P Prove me wrong Bond Crew!!!!

Nice idea. I don't think he is enough of a household name anymore, especially on a global scale, that they will want though. Especially in the UK where he is pretty much unknown as an individual, and considering Bond is an British franchise i'd say that makes him very unlikely as a pick. Chris Cornell & Jack White are both pretty well known to UK audiences.

But I bet he'd do a good job.

I think with the funding issues this bond movie has gotten and the fact that it took this long for them to pick back up on the project they'll shoot for a big name to help drive the movie.  Not that they haven't had a successful revamping with Daniel Craig but they'll want to come out strong.

I wish they prove me wrong too, and not that Scott doesn't have it in him but like stated he's not such a global force right now.  I think Weiland's solo stuff too is a bit too out of the spectrum from what would be expected from a killer Bond song.

I'd actually like to see if maybe Bush would get thrown into the discussion.  With their resurgence with this new albumn, UK ties, and they seem to just fit with a more Bond-esque mainstream sound IMO
