Matthew was friends with one of Scott's managers/friends from the late 90's into the 2000's.
Matthew wrote the string arrangement for Scott's cover of The Flaming Lips song "Waiting for a Superman" (I don't know if that was ever officially released) and Matthew played bass on a version of the Queen song "We Will Rock You" that Scott did with rapper DJ Hurricane for Hurricane's album "Don't Sleep". This was also featured on the soundtrack to the movie "Ready To Rumble".
Matthew also did some strings and/or production for a record by the band Cinder, and Scott sang on their tune "Lush"
