I hope Scott's solo album has at least one song on it that DOESN'T sound like 12BB....

But yeah, that would be great.

I think this song clearly shows why Scott and Velvet Revolver didn't work. VR was a one trick pony but Scott wanted to try more things.

I love that song.  I had been thinking that he was saying "don't drop that dime on me," but I was never quite sure.  What is that even supposed to mean?

Has anyone found the lyrics to this song anywhere, or at least made an attempt to write down what you think they may be?
This fan made video on youtube has lyrics, which seem pretty close, if not accurate.
There are one of two points where I disagree.

As soon as I walk in the front door
You're drunk on the vine
You're the craziest bitch I'll ever find
Like I said...
I walk in the front door
Sometimes she chase me in through the out-door
Don't start that shit tonight!
The police ain't that kind!
And when I lay there in a dream
It's all their faces that I see...
Don't drop that dime!
Don't drop that dime!
Sweet Carolyne, Oh my!
Don't drop that dime on me tonight

It all begins with that 'ol sinkin' feeling
Then we start drinkin' rye
I can smell the crazy comin' out in that hard rainy night
Like I said
I walk through the front door
Another woman, she was parked at the back door
I'll get busted, yeah I'll probably get busted
Once or twice before, yeah
And when I lay there in a dream
It's all their faces that I see.
Don't drop that dime!
Don't drop that dime!
Sweet Carolyne, Oh my!
Don't drop that dime on me tonight!

Oh the pain, so sweet
Oh the game, so mean
I caught your lie
(I caught your lie)
I drove all night
(I drove all night)
You cherish whispers when asleep
Don't drop that dime!
Don't drop that dime!
Sweet girl of mine, Oh my!
Don't draw that gun on me tonight
Don't drop that dime!
Don't drop that dime!
Don't shoot that gun! Oh my!
Don't shoot that gun at me tonight!
Don't drop that dime!
Don't drop that dime!
Don't shoot that gun! Oh my!
Don't shoot that gun at me tonight!

I created my own lyric tag in iTunes, I don't know if I got it all right, but here was my best guess...

Don't start that shit tonight

And when I lay there in a dream
It's all their faces that I see

Don't drop that dime
Don't drop that dime
Sweet Caroline o' mine
Don't drop that dime on me tonight

It all begins with that ol' sinkin' feeling
Then we start drinking rye
I can smell the crazy comin' out in that hard rain tonight
Like I said I walk through the front door

Don't shoot that gun at me tonight

Don't drop that dime [As soon as I kick down the front door]
Don't drop that dime [There's a car in the front come the back door]
Don't shoot that gun, Oh my [I'll get busted and I'll probably get busted once or twice more]
Don't shoot that gun at me tonight

Yoodle-ah-he-oh-yelloh...
Whatever
