Damn.  You guys.  I wish my birthday was coming up so people would have an excuse to buy me things like Rock Band.  :P
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

I have yet to play Rock Band yet. My friend is severely addicted, and she used to be a GH nut.

I'm crossing my fingers that my sister picks up the new GH though.

I'm waiting on the "Guitar Hero: World Tour" game to hit shelves in the fall. Hopefully it will include more STP than before, and with the addition of drums and vocals, it could give Rock Band a run for it's money.

It'd be cool if they'd include some "deep cuts" like "Crackerman" or "Wonderful."

I was hoping they would include a few songs, and not just a big hit like Sex Type Thing. I'd love to play something like Adhesive or Dumb Love.
STP Shows: 05-25-08 - Wallingford, CT, 09-23-12 - Sacramento, CA
SWB Shows: 03-07-13 - Boston, MA, 06-07-13 - San Francisco, CA

They should've put a Tiny Music era song on there because that's when STp opened for Aerosmith. Ride The Cliche' would be a hell of a song to play with a guitar.

STP also opened for Aerosmith in 2002.

News about the next Aerosmith record:

Joe Perry Talks New Album and Tour
From: ABC News Radio

We told you yesterday that AEROSMITH guitarist JOE PERRY had issued a statement saying his recovery from emergency knee surgery was going well and the band are preparing to hit the recording studio. Well, Perry phoned in last night to provide some more details.

First, Perry says the band began rehearsing together last week, quote, "going over some of the new stuff." And he says they'll be entering the studio soon, with producer BRENDAN O'BRIEN -- who has worked with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, PEARL JAM, THE OFFSPRING, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, AUDIOSLAVE, VELVET REVOLVER and AC/DC, just to name a few. This will be the band's first time working with the super-producer, but Perry says they've "wanted to work with him for a long time."

Perry also says they'll be taking an old-school approach to this album, recording live in the studio. Because of that, he hopes recording will be finished in time for them to launch a North American tour on June 1st.

PREPARING FOR NEW ALBUM

“We started rehearsing last week.  The band’s been all gathered back together and we’ve been at it, going over some of the new stuff.  You know, we’ve got a lot of material that needs just to be gathered.”

BRENDAN O'BRIEN TO PRODUCE NEW ALBUM

“We’ve got Brendan O’Brien onboard to produce this one and we’re real excited about it.  We’ve wanted to work with him for a long time.”

ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR NEXT RECORD

“We’re kind of late bloomers I think.  I always feel like we’ve got a better song in us.  We just kind of wipe away everything that we’ve done ‘til now…and you’re only as good as your next record.”

RECORDING LIVE THIS TIME

“We’re gonna be doing it more like we used to do the old records which is the band playing live in the studio.  That part is really exciting to me.  We haven’t really done a real original studio record in a long time.”

WANT TO FINISH ALBUM BEFORE JUNE TOUR
.
“We’re planning on going out June 1st and touring the states.  I think that’s the first leg we got planned.  We’re gonna try and blow through this record and make it the way we used to make records.  And with spontaneity and trying to capture that on-the-spot energy and then hopefully get it done before we get on the road.”

Very excited about hearing this record! If Honkin' On Bobo was anything indication, these guys can still rock!
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
