New to the board; not to STP
« on: November 25, 2008, 08:53:45 PM »
I'm just introducing myself to this board (as I've heard about it A LOT). I've been registered and active on the Official Atlantic board since December of last year. I've been an avid STP fan since 2005 (friend introduced me to Thank You). I've actually been listening to STP before that, since 2000, when I first heard "Sex Type Thing" in the Gran Turismo 2 game, but never considered myself a fan until I gave their greatest hits a real good listen-to. I would say Shangri-LA DEE DA is my absolute favorite STP album as it is so diverse and melodic. I've been to one STP show in my life thus far (WBCN River Rave 2008), but plan on seeing them more ONCE they head back on the road to promote their next studio album(s).

So hello Below Empty community!

Good to see you here.  I enjoyed it when we served together in the Scott Weiland vs. Slash and Matt Sorum war back in the spring on the VR boards.  One suggestion though, don't bring the Dave Coutts jokes over, they died many many months ago.

STP Shows: 5/1/08, 6/24/08, 12/31/08, 7/1/09, 5/25/10, 6/5/10, 10/29/10, 9/22/12, 5/30/13, 9/1/13
Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07
Scott Weiland Shows: 12/14/08, 12/8/11

Speaking of so, I saved that pic you showed on the VR forum earlier this year:

You think Velvet Revolver is open to this kind of publicity?

I ve been visiting this site since like 2002 and not sure when this forum was created, but always loved STP's music even when i was a little kid back in the day and loved the songs but didn't know who the hell wrote them( thanks alot early 90's radio DJs!) Anyway, i came to this site like everyday when STP broke up and literally no one i talked to knew who the hell they were and they were completely out of the spotlight. Now that they acutally have gotten back together I no longer seem as fascinated with them as I once was, but still got love for them. SO glad they're back  :D
