When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

Nice to hear that VR is not forgotten.

I agree, but we have to believe that some day they will find suitable vocalist and this "really great, sort of heavy metal pieces of music" will see the light of day.

Maybe it would be album with Myles, who knows, I would like to hear him on the microphone.

They made great music, and I liked VR's harder songs. But I really think they should at least re-name themselves.  I'll never consider them VR without Scott. (Just like I'd never consider STP without him.)  It's not like some long established band Scott played with... they started together and ended apart, and now they want to milk whatever remaining notoriety they have.... ?  Sad.

I don't think Velvet Revolver will make a new album without Scott.

They are in a pretty crappy place. Nobody is gonna fill Scotts shoes as a front man. They might want to start from scratch, with a different name.

Heavier? Ok, but who is gonna sing?

Or has the new 'VR' stuff filtered into Slash's solo album?

Maybe the guy who will be the lead singer will have a "core voice".  ::)

Heavier is not always better.

"Core Voice"

This keeps coming up in posts as some kind of insult or something.

Tiny Music is my favorite STP album, but Core is great as well. Weiland's voice has worked well with every album, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

I don't really care what his voice sounds like if the tunes are rockin'.

Will definitely check out. I'm kind of anticipating it too- VR is absolutely nothing without Scott, but they made good music together, so I will give them the courtesy of hearing the new album. If it ever even comes out.

I'm sensing a similar pattern as well.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Personally, I'm doubting they put out another album together. Sure, they all deny it, but they keep putting it off further and further. Duff's with JA, Slash is doing his solo stuff, Matt's busy being a prick, and everyone's just tangled in their own stuff. If they do put out a new album, they definitely need to change the name, because without Scotts voice, its going to be an entirely different sound.
Favorite STP songs at the moment: Hazey Daze, Fast as I Can, I Got You, Pruno

So...wait.

They started off writing heavy...and then when Scott left, they wrote more heavy...cuz that was the plan all along, but it's BECAUSE of Scott that they weren't heavy?

Hey Slash, how about it's BECAUSE of Scott that VR was even successful?

Maybe Dr. Pepper can give everyone soda if this album is out before 2015.
