Core in CR's 150 greatest debut albums of all time!
« on: September 24, 2010, 05:00:04 PM »
glad to see STP's Core featured in the latest issue of Classic Rock in "150 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time". They didn't however rank 'em 150-0, but instead just went on presenting albums in a chronological order, here's the "Core" part...

If the recipe for successful band is a solid rhythm section, a guitarist who has technique and flair to spare, and a troubled singer, then STP had the lot.
Throw in a clutch of energetic, hard-rocktastic songs - Sex Type Thing, Piece of Pie, Crackerman et al - and it's no wonder the end result was not only a great debut but also one of the great albums of the 90s.

Anyone have a link to this article?  Would like to see what other bands made the list.

The article was about debut albums.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
