Yo yo. I've been lurking here for a while, just felt compelled to register a few minutes ago, and thought I'd introduce myself.
First saw STP in 2000 in Portland on the Tattoo the Earth tour with Godsmack and SLAY-ER! I say SLAY-ER! in jest, because my friend and I ran around the whole day screaming that like retards, even though (or because) we hate them.
Anyway, didn't know what to expect, and when Weiland came out in a sparkling skirt and pink wig, it fucking blew my mind. They mention this performance in one of the old interviews, and I'm glad they enjoyed the crowd as much as we loved them.
Seen them a handful of times since. Living and working in San Francisco now, and I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming Berkley show.
