It was easier to do an acoustic tour for In Your Honor as it was a double album, one of the albums was acoustic.

Would be a very cool idea.  I remember some similar ideas floating around here before Scott was let go.  Like an acoustic tour, or small lounge-ish venues.  I agree that if Scott were still around (and still in the band) then they could pull of a mini-tour like this, but yea the majority of fans going to shows are there for nostalgia and to hear the big hits.  Something like this is more a BelowEmpty fanbase which unfortunately is the minority and wouldn't make for a very successful tour.

A possible way they could make something like this work would be if they scheduled a few of these types of shows during off-nights of a standard tour.  And even then it would probably just be in bigger cities.

Would be very cool though.

I would've loved for something like this to have happened during the Scott days, especially during the 2001-2002 SLDD era.  I wish they could've done a retry of MTV unplugged around that same time also.  Unfortunately, while it would still be neat if they did an acoustic show/tour now, it just wouldn't have the same effect without SW driving the show(in his quality years).

Now, what I think would be great but would NEVER happen, would be a more stripped down mini-tour comprised of intimate venues. Something where they'd only play the softer, slower, jazzier songs. Maybe even throw in the swing mix of sex type thing. Now that would really be something. Granted, it'll never happen. Nice to think about, though.

That would be awesome. I would travel for that.

I went to a Naked and Famous show in Evanston IL earlier this year where they did just this. It was awesome.
