A meadow is a place with a lot of grass and grass is slang for marihuana.

And if my ears can hear the words correctly through the iffy production, they're singing about "burning" in a "meadow" or something.


This song is about smoking the devil's lettuce.

Bump.

Not to get too Alex Jones on you guys, but I really think Jeff liked my reply not just because I said nice things but because I mentioned the song’s meaning. STP has always been kinda mysterious about these things — they’ve always denied the albums were themed around the elements, but then they’d drop these hints that made it so obvious. I truly think this is a similar situation.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the album.

I agree it may be about Scott, but I took it as Jeff Gutt's tribute to him. Jeff recognizes how great Scott was and honors him by saying that nobody can replace Scott. He was great. He paved the way. They all recognize that and are just looking to have fun and carry on in Scott's spirit.
