Stp songs on acoustic guitar?
« on: May 02, 2020, 06:09:47 PM »
Hi all. I've been learning some songs on the acoustic lately and it'd be cool to hear some recommendations from stp's catalogue, that you think a somewhat of a newbie could learn. Perhaps some that translate well even if the original isn't even acoustic?
I got Plush down pretty well and Creep. Interstate love song I used to practice too, but I remember struggling with some part of it Thanks

Interstate and Sour Girl are my favorites on acoustic, but neither is really beginner friendly, if you play them properly.

Wonderful is simple to learn, and Atlanta is mostly simple.  I think Hello, It’s Late is another one, but it’s been 10 years or so since I’ve played it.

Big Empty is pretty simple if you stick to just the rhythm guitar and leave out the slide parts. The chorus is just g chord shape moving up the neck.

Kitchenware and Candybars was the first song I ever learned on guitar. Again, if you stick to the rhythm and leave out the lead parts it's really quite simple.
