If he's been mentioned here, I missed it. We haven't heard him in a rock context, obviously, but we know he's an STP fan, and the two songs that leaked from the Galaxy Costars project he did with Dean were awesome. He has a really good voice, and can seemingly knows his way around the melody.
He also represents a unique opportunity, in my estimation. He's largely an unknown, eliminating any comparison to his former bands - and avoiding the "he's a rap-metal poseur" or "he's the Brett Scallions replacement" line of complaints. At the same time, he's got the inherent cred of being Glen Campbell's son, and knows what to expect in the industry.
I think, at the very least, it's intriguing.
