Set your reservations aside and listen with an open mind. If you honestly don't like the new stuff, or don't agree with how they are doing things, that's totally fine. But there's no reason to be hateful. I would say the same goes for anyone mad/disappointed at Scott listening to his new stuff when it comes out.
Everything you said was great!  A calm debate is healthy. 

Yes, all the guys in a legal soirĂ©e is a big deal, but it shouldn't color your opinion of the resultant music. 

I've been around in these parts for a very long time (and made contributions).  I'm just trying to chip away at the monkeys shitting in their hands and tossing it around.

Holy shit. It really sounds like you're implying that Eddie Vedder couldn't hold a candle to Chester Bennington. I know Chester's fans are passionate about his talents, but my God, that's delusional.
