It's like the 'plush' of the new album - smart grunge anthem.
Great title, Great lyrics, cool haromonies & backing vocals, the instruments...
For me, it's an stp classic, vintage.  8)

Love this song... Great memories of playing the hell out of it in my car in the summer of 10'.

This was initially my favorite song off the record after hearing the samples.

Great song, something about it, the other songs seem to play by but Peacoat registers everytime!!! (Not saying the album isn't great) but much like TALO and DIYD, Peacoat seems fresh everytime :)

This is one track from the new album that took a bunch og spins. but I really like the tune now.  Although I wished they did a little more with it its a little to straight forward if you know what  Imean
"There's a dusty rose where the promise of love used to be"

ME TOO!!! :D
It's my current ringtone

The best song off the record, love the lyrics and melody, and Dean's guitar.
Should've been a single
"We grew with the speed of light but crashed in the night"

This song never did anything for me. It's just kind of there.

The opening riff reminds me of Man In The Box.

Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Agreed.
Scott's lyrics about dope is very, very STP.

Has anybody pronounced "grunge"?

Just realized Scott says "Cause you can't imagine me as someone unknown."

Always thought it was "Cause you can't imagine me as someone I know."

I remember looking up the lyrics for this song around the time the album came out and every site having different lyrics.

Like a lot of you, this song took a while to grow on me but now it's one of my favorites off the self titled album and lyrically, I think it's the best song on the album/one of Scott's best lyric-writing performances
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

Holy crap... apparently when I downloaded the CD back when it came out, peacoat didn't come through with the download and I completely forgot about this song until you mentioned it... one of the best songs on the album too.
