I don't think a recorording of it exists, but you can find the Mighty Joe Young song called Spanish Flies in the download section of this site. It has a couple similarities to Lounge Fly.

STP began playing Lounge Fly in their live performances in late 1993...

check out the 10/20/1993 show (Toronto, Canada).

I was watching the STP Rockumentary and it had a clip showing the song list for Core that was to be recorded. Lounge Fly was included on the list, but not on the album. I know that they began playing the song during the Core era tours and Paul Leary did the end solo, but is there any reason it wasn't included on Core?

yeah lounge fly has always felt like a core song to me, although they probably reworked it a lot to fit purple. i know its based on "spanish flies" which was on their demo, but only a couple of lines were the same and pretty much everything else sounds nothing like it, kind of like the "piece of pie" demo. i would have really liked a heavier version on core but the one on purple is awesome as it is.
