I hate tribute albums and I will never buy one.
So many good songs... ruined.

I've only owned two in my lifetime. One was a tribute to Aerosmith played by mostly members of old hair bands. Another one was the industrial tribute to Metallica. The Blackest Album I think it was called. That one was interesting. But beyond that, I've stayed away from those albums too.

What about Encomium?

Stand corrected. As always, there are exceptions to the rule. My pops had that album.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Personally the only one that really gives me a nice decent vibe is Lady Picture Show.

yeah, I actually gave the cover of Lady Picture Show a whole listen. Ok maybe it wasn't too bad. Maybe something you might hear from an easy listening radio station though lol. Somewhat decent. I give it a 6.9 out of 10.

i think the acoustic unglued was actually decent.

I agree,
Whilst the vocals don't really suit the song, it's a nice idea - gives the song an extra dimension, the chorus especially stands out with the melodic guitars and you never know it could have originally been written in this style (these things happen.)  Then again if someone released the song in this style perhaps it would have been seen as just a filler - I love the original version because of the rawness, the tempo, the drums and Weilands vocals....

Crackerman is also a nice idea with the synthesisers...

Wicked, Sour, Dead, Silvergun... you can't say they are that bad...(Sour is another particularly good idea.)
STP fans crack me up - it's like the band are all superhuman gods are something - they are fantastic musicians, Scott is also just something else, very diverse, great songwriter, BUT you can't say the guy who sings silvergun is "Poor" - of course he hasn't written the song, but in terms of vocal delivery he probably knows what he's doing and delivers the vocals probably nearer to what Scott does now, because obviously Scott's voice has changed dramatically over the years.

Glide - not sure about this one actually -would love to hear the whole song, but the opening sequence personally doesn't capture the STP vibe.  Again it seems to be favourable on this site because the band used to feature an ex member - so it must be great!   :)

There are however 5 or 6 other songs that are very bad!!
(just my opinion of course.)

BBB was about the worst thing I have ever heard.  Please never cover another STP song.  Ever.  Thank you.
