Does anyone know if this show is actually happening?? It's not on his site anymore but on the tour t-shirt you can buy it lists Baltimore has one of the cities.

Just so the admins know...I'm pretty sure there is no longer any show on Jan. 21st in DC...there's the Baltimore show on the 27th that was recently added though

I'm just pretending this topic says "2009-1-27- Baltimore, MD - Rams Head Live" since the DC show never existed and let me just say I'm getting really, really excited for this show with all of the great reviews. Rams Head Live is a great and very intimate venue. It's gonna be so awesome seeing Scott solo and up close! I will definitely give a full review after the show

Just back from the show. It was GREAT. Basically what a lot of people have said recently about the tour is exactly what I experienced. The band sounded really good, Scott was in great shape and moving around with a lot of energy and was smiling and joking around with the band. At one point, all three guitarists and Scott were lying down on the ground during one of the night's MANY jams. Speaking of the jams...I liked them but at times they felt just a tad too long, but not really a big deal. The last jam they did where Scott drummed was the best one. I was able to get nice and close to the stage and had a great view of everything. The place got pretty crowded, but definitely not a sell out crowd. I don't remember the exact order of songs, but the setlist was something like this:

They opened with a jam that lasted about 10 minutes and then went right into Reel Around The Fountain
Killing Me Sweetly
Vasoline
Blind Confusion (which was awesome)
Atlanta (first time seeing it and he nailed it)
Fame
Big Black Monster
Paralysis (which he announced as the next single)
Mockingbird Girl (with jam in the middle of the song)
Interstate Love Song
Unglued (first time seeing it, it rocked!)
Barbarella

Encore:
Beautiful Day
Missing Cleveland

That's totally out of order but I'm pretty sure I didn't forget any songs. I was pretty messed up for the beginning of the concert so the song order is kind of fuzzy haha

It was cool meeting Shapy too I'm sure he enjoyed the concert as well

Awe - another BE "reunion!"   :D

Umm... I hate you and basically everyone else that's seen him lately.  I wish we had "Atlanta."  You brats.   :D   So glad the show was stellar - I agree with you about "Blind Confusion" - it wasn't one of my favorites at first, but after seeing Scott perform it live... phew!
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Damn man, I wanted to go see the show but I had other plans I couldn't get out of (Ironically these plans fell through at the last minute lol), but thanks for letting me experiance it vicariously through you man!

Hopefully next time STP tours they'll to a smaller show like this instead of a rock festival.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

Yep. He didn't sit on the little chair and play, but during the jam he picked up some sticks and stood next to the drumset and started drumming along with the rhythm on the tom and the cymbals

Yeah, it's taken me a little bit to recover, but this show rocked!!! It was some what surreal. I went with my ex-girlfriend (don't ask, just know we are huge STP fans) and we had a blast. Ran into two of my buddies randomly who came last second. They are not big STP fans, but said how impressed they were with the show.

I feel like all the STP songs got the biggest pop from the crowd. Especially Vasoline, I think cause it was the first of the STP songs played. Really, I mean people were going nuts for it. During the show, there were some douche bags who repeatedly yelled for "STP" and whenever a non-STP song came on, these fools were yelling at Scott. They bothered no one expect the few of us surrounding them. Some random girl told them to shut the fuck up and enjoy the show or leave. haha, it was cool. However, when they guys came back for the encore, almost everyone was chanting "STP." Scott just played it off like he didn't even hear it, while the rest of the guys smiled and somewhat laughed among each other, as if it's nothing new to them. Truly, it didn't matter if they played any STP but I will say I'm thankful for the ones they played, especially Unglued and Atlanta. Though, I swear it felt like either Scott either flubbed a few of the lines or they shortened the song. I could be entirely wrong, but it just seemed to go quicker than the length I thought it was.

The part wickedgarden23 mentioned about the band rolling on the ground was awesome. I forget which song, probably a jam, but Doug went over and just purposely, but playfully, kept bumping into Tommy (the bassist) and then the other guitarist with long hair started getting involved. They went down, then Scott did a freakin tumble sault across the stage and knocked into all 3 of them. The 4 of them, just laid there, still playing, and the crowd ate it up.

Man, the show was perfect. The only thing I had to complain about were the drink prices. What a ripoff. Oh, the opening band, Cold, Cold Heartbreakers were really good. Check them out. They were local.

After the show, I went to close my tab and go to the bathroom. When I went to the bar, who did I see chillin having some drinks with the fans? Doug. He was in a real good mood just shooting the shit with about 7 or 8 people. I didn't want to be "that guy" who tries to kiss a rock stars ass, but I was drunk enough where I thought it'd be ok. Haha. Almost everyone around him wanted autographs and pictures. All I did was cheers him with our beers, shook hands, and told him how impressed I was and happy to see them play. That was cool.

Well, great show. If anyone can catch these guys on tour, I definitely suggest you do.
And, wickedgarden23, it was cool catching up with ya towards the end there too! I totally forgot about trying to find ya until I looked over and saw the shirt you said you'd be wearing. Than I was like, that's just gotta be him. haha. Well, that's it for me....
have fun, have fun, have a whole lot of fun!
