I figure it's payment for all of the music I illegally downloaded before I learned better.

Yeah, it's awesome when you buy 3 tickets for 50 dollars each and then end up paying for the cost of another ticket to pay for the "convenience" fee. And by awesome, I mean horse shit.

Ticketmaster is an evil, money-hungry corporation set out to sell STP and other beloved artist's tickets to whomever will be suckered into it.

I think casual fans are turned off by the high ticket prices. The bigger venues like PNC which have 20 dollar lawn seats are going to attract the people know the words to Plush then seem clueless when STP busts into Too Cool Queenie. Good for revenue, but annoying for all of us who know every word to every single song.

I'm gettting kinda tired of these fees too.  Luckily I have seen basically every concert that I want to see.  I'm seeing STP next week, and they are the only band left that I really need to see that I haven't.   After that I will probably cut back on concerts for awhile.

My favorite with ticketbastard is the "print it now" option for $2.50.

So let me see...I'm using MY printer, MY paper, MY ink and MY electricity but your charging me $2.50 for that convenience.

And when you do that, you don't even have the satisfaction of a real ticket. Maybe that's me being anal, but I like my ticket, not a piece of paper that says it's my ticket.
