whats the whole situation behind the meaning of crackerman? maybe the crackerman was weiland.. and its slang for "Crack" and having to make out like a monkey in a speed chase..

It's possible...Weiland lyrics can be hard to translate. (Sometimes it's like I'm reading Tori Amos, haha.)

The first thing that always came to mind for me was the slang term for white people , which is stupid but I still can't help but think that.

The first part nobody seems to be able to figure out.
The senond and third seem to be "Mud flaps, dust blowin' in my eyes..."

"Sun cracks, Mud flaps, Dust blowing in my eyes, I'm a-roamin', I'm a-roamin..."

I've never had a problem understanding it.

For me the first always sounded something like "smoke tracks." I doubt it's right, but that's the best that I could make of it.

it almost sounds like instead of Im  A- roamin, Im A-Roamin..
i think its " Im A - Rollin... Im A rollin."
